You have an upgrade — the new monotub now comes with a black base. One of the bases has a hole, and the other does not. When the inflatable monotub is fully inflated, you’ll notice a drainage hole. Place the black base with the hole aligned over the drainage hole, and position the solid base next to it. After this, you can add the liner.
The black base not only allows proper drainage but also adds sturdiness to the tub, making it easier to move around. Previously, moving the tub could cause it to break, but with this upgrade, it’s much more durable.
You can also buy the Boomer Shroomer liners or the plug and air filter individually.
To ensure proper function, inflate the product and leave it overnight to check for any leakage or deflation.
With a volume of 40 litres and a measurement of 48cm x 28cm x 28 cm, it is the perfect size to add 3 Kg(total weight) of spawn + substrate.
The included liners make it easy to clean up and reduce the chances of side pinning. The monotub plugs are used during the colonisation stage, and the filters are used during the fruiting stage. The monotub filters allow gas exchange, which induces pinning and mushroom formation. They have ten holes, and the amount of gas exchange can be adjusted depending on the mushroom’s growth stage.
This Boomer Shroomer inflatable monotub serves as a fruiting chamber for mushroom growing. Its clever design optimises fruit yield by providing an appropriate microclimate and air/gas exchange. It is the simplest monotub to set up as it only requires inflating. As some other methods suggest, making holes or painting it with spray is unnecessary. Please do not move the tub around once it’s filled with substrate and mycelium begins to colonise the substrate.
It’s advisable to purchase these tubs well before your planned growth period. Occasionally, a tub might not fill properly because of a leak. Should this happen, we’re ready to replace it quickly; contact us.
